Question "1988 mazda rx7 turbo II" anyone?

I am thinking of buying this car but the thing is that it doesn't have any motor in it....everything is clean including the short shaft to the manual box.

I'm wondering what rotary or alternative engine could fit in such low hood (looks like less than two inches from the tire top to hood top)

Thanks for any help and yeah it's the common silver color too :-D

Fawer.....
