1988 GXL Problem Very Weird!!!!!
Sup Guys I need some major help.
I have 1988 GXL with a straight 2 1/2 piping going to a
single muffler. I was driving my 7 to the store, parked it and came out 45min later. When i started it, it started idleing funny like vibrating. So i let it sit for a min then it died on me,but I started right back up, and it did the same thing. I also smell alot of fuel coming out the muffler, I also smell fuel in my oil when I change it. So I started it again and kept my foot on the gas, and put it in drive(its auto), and it jerked forward like it wanted to go, but the idle was too low. So My friend had to tow me to my house talk about a F-up night!!!! I just got my tranny rebuilt so its not that I also checked my fuel injec fuse, I don't know whats wrong can someone please help!!!!

Your engine could have shot craps. I was able to start mine like that, but quickly found that the engine compression was gone. Try checking it with the regular guage.

It might be a simple flooding prob, just happened to me too... Does it feel like only one rotor's firing? Do you have to put the peddle to the floor to start it, keep your foot on the peddle to keep it running?
