i just recently acquired a 10th ae shell molested by a box of flat black spray paint. This thread sure is kind of inspiring to restore it.

0622503 got sold to someone from the Bethlehem, PA area. It needed a new engine at the time.

 

good lord...who would scrap a 10AE too bad i weren't closer..i'd buy the car and put it in the barn for a restore..

 

I already talked to the manager and they said we cannot sell it its been processed for scrap. I was mad and wanna find who let it go. The owner who scraped it pulled the engine though. Id sell my 87 and buy this one and restore it and drive it.

 

remove the glass and save it for other 10AE owners. there are guys all over the board that are looking for 10AE glass for their cracked glass on their 10AE's.

 

Someone has already asked me if I would pull the windshield and Pass glass... Anyone else need something?

 

so yea ive gotten rusty on rx7s lol, what made these different from just a turbo car? i picked one up last week that ill unfortunately be parting it out, car sat for 12 years and the under body is gone

 

There's a few things that come to mind that make it different from regular Turbos:

1) Only 1500 10AE manufactured
2) White monoque paint scheme w/10AE badges on sides and embossed steering wheel
3) Black leather seats
4) Momo shift ****
5) Bronze tinted Windshield

Im sure there's more but can think of anything else right now.

 

I would love the windshield and possibly the hatch.. I would drive up there and help you pull them as well...

 

And I would pay for the windshield btw.. Last one just sold from mazda warehouse

 

The windshield is spoken for and waiting to be pulled by a pro.. The hatch is still there though. If you wanna come to Tallahassee let me know and I will meet up with you.

YAY! add this one to your list JM1FC3320J0622535. 10ae (obviously)...I bought the car with a bent frame and bad engine...attempted to restore and got layed off so i sold it to a guy, who sold it again and then it was parted out... I STILL HAVE THE TITLE! they never transferred it...if anyone has the car and needs the title, hit me up!!!

Passenger window has been pulled.. Drivers side is still intact..

 

yea so is mine is the hatch tint'd bronze also? mine wasn't when i got it... and it LOOKED original, no signs of replacement.

 

I didnt notice a bronze tint.

The badges are gone. Sorry. There isnt much left of the car now.. Only real 10AE things left on it is taillights and the passenger side is busted.
