need to know if my engine would still be ok, I have a 1987 red turbo car that has been sitting for 5 years, it ran great before it was wrecked, I filled the cycliners full of tranny fluid after the wreck and put the spark plugs back in. Does anyone know if the engine would be ok. I am about to post it for sale on the site. i live in north alabama, and need to know if car is worth a $1,000 or more.

need to sell the complete car, do not have means of removing engine. I would have to pay someone to take it out. what state do you live.

the engine should not be carbon locked. anything is possible though.

 

If the ATF has sat in that engine for so long, the oil o-rings will likely be mush. Over the long term, some brands of ATF will kill those seals.
