1987 N/A rx-7
I've been looking into buying a 1987 NA rx-7 as my first car. It has approximately 128k miles on it, and the buyer is asking $500 for it. I've noticed that it's been repainted.
Everything seems to be working, except the stereo (oh well) and the oil-pressure gauge. The latter worries me a bit; it only moved a little bit when the car was started and then dropped back down to the bottom after the car had been running for a few minutes. Is this likely to be a dead gauge, or a really worn-out engine?
It also appeared to misfire a bit when first started, but then ran smoothly after it warmed.
The brakes work, but not terribly well, and at least one of the rotors is scored pretty badly.
Also, is there anything in specific i should look for? Any odd problems these cars often have, or any signs of an engine about to go bad?
