1987 FC first project.
Hey guys! Recently picked up a 1987 FC hardtop shell, it’s missing an engine, driveshaft, clutch, steering rack, and some other small steering components. As well as a few small dash pieces, taillights, and it needs new marker lights. (They’re here; but spray painted black) Just looking for any tips and parts sourcing that I can find. I gave this to my little brother as a Christmas gift....being 15, he’s extremely excited but obviously can’t pay for parts easily, I’d love to help him as much as I can. Any help is appreciated!

Classified section of this forum will most likely have everything you are looking for. S4 N/A cars are very common and parts are cheap. Can always try junkyards depending on your area. I personally have only seen one RX7 in a junkyard, but I have been to a junkyard maybe 10 times in my life.

But to be honest since nothing is currently in the engine bay this car would be good candidate.
You could also look into getting a JDM engine and drive-train. But rebuild it before putting it in.

I agree that you can find most parts here on the Classifieds section. Look for people parting out projects or stripping their cars into Trackcars. Rockauto is also helpful depending on the items you are trying to purchase.
LRB speed makes some aluminum dash pieces. Retrospec makes both plastic and carbon fiber pieces for our vehicles.

If you aren't sure which parts are missing I recommend looking at the Factory Service Manual (FSM).

Good luck and welcome to the FC community.
