1986 S4 NA - Wiper Motor Wiring

Hey all,

Bought a car that has been engine swapped and the EM harness along with the wiper harness was taken with the engine.

Currently the wipers are controlled by an on/off switch that I have to time when to power off so it goes back to the "off" position.

After some searching, I found this harness from a wreckers from an 86 S4 coupe. As seen in the picture, there is a B/W and W/B wire that was going into the EM that had to be cut off.
No luck finding any diagrams on the orange plug pin-out so I need help determining if these wires are mandatory for my wiper to function like OEM once the harness is plugged into motor and orange plug by the passenger footwell.

Thanks in advance

There is a 1988 wiring diagram on foxed.ca here - https://foxed.ca/rx7manual/manuals/W...2088%20rx7.pdf

Page 40 of that pdf has the front wiper diagram with a pinout of the wiper motor connector and the connector between the emission and front harness. I would think they did not make any changes between 86 and 88, but only way to find out is look at it and see how it compares to what you have.
