I have a 1986 RX7 Turbo but the entire powertrain is from a 1995 RX7 Turbo 2. I’m trying to make my speedometer work properly but there is a cover on the transmission to connect the speedometer to it.

What kind of parts I need to buy in order to make the speedometer work?

Are the transmission similar or somewhat compatible?
maybe some adapters?

djSL (the owner) uses a GPS-based adapter for his Rx-8 transmission. maybe you can get some details from him.
