I've got a 17x10" with 275 /40 it has a +18 offset and just sits outside the fende by 3-4mm however the backset spacing with 2.5" coilovers is spaced by almost 30mm so a 10" with coilovers has tones of clearence

hey ted, reality check.. they do..
spacing from trailing arm ( which I know is what you ALways referr too) is greater then tyre offset from wheel well. and it's VERY VERY dumb *** easy to modify your trailing arm box section to even float a 11" in there.. All the while making your box section even stiffer too..

I'm talking about stock suspension components with no modifications to anything.
I've seen a 18" x 10.5" with +9 fit with about 1/4" of space.
So that means a 10.5" +15 is about as deep of an offset I would go.
If you extrapolate that for a 10", it comes out to a +20.
I would be scared to run an offset deeper than +20.
We have no idea what tire size the original poster intends to run.
If we're talking about a 315 wide tire, I highly doubt it'll fit.
Running a 265 wide tire on a 10" might fit though...
No reason to run a 10" or wider in back unless you're planning to go 265 or wider tires?
Else, it's just added weight...
275 is just too tight to fit under stock suspension and stock fenders.
I wouldn't go 10"+ unless I'm running 10" or wider in back, and that's does not fit under stock suspension or stock fenders.
Even minor fender edge rolling is not what I consider "stock", and I consider that a modification.
I'm assuming the people who ask these questions are totally newbies who don't know what fender rolling is...
If they did, they wouldn't be asking about widths and offsets in the first place.

Umm...
Not to beat a dead horse, but ya'll were telling this guy that 18X10's would fit... but you didn't tell him what offset to run..............
18X10's will fit.. but, like Ted... i think thats a bit retarded because the biggest you can realistically fit up front is a 225 series tire with the stock suspension and fenders.. (MEANING to pass most states safety inspection and not have the tire sticking out past the fender like a dumbass)
SO.. if you go slapping a 265 or bigger tire on the *** and then have a 225 on the front.. the car is going to handle like crap because of the difference in rolling resistance and tire track front to rear.
I have 215 17's on the front and 245 17's on the rear, the alignment set perfect and the tires staggered perfect and i STILL have some problems with the car on old asphalt raods where the trucks have worn valleys into the asphalt.. on concrete or new asphalt.. its like its on rails.
