16psi and motor is still fine?!

Last night i got on it a little for my friend to show him how quick my t2 was. Imidiatly i noticed that i was flying a lot faster than it normally feels...like it felt incredibly fast. I look over and i'm at 16psi..

My motor has been rebuilt in the past but I didn't think it was anything other than a stock rebuild (no street port or 3mm seals or anything). I ran it twice so far like that and it runs so smooth never any pinging or anything, just smooth.

What could be the deal with this, i have no complaints cause it's so dang quick. The only thing i can think of is mainly the weather change and the boost controller i got on now. What suprizes me the most is the motor holds up fine. Is it just i'm running so incredibly rich it dosn't blow or could there be possibly something internally done to my motor to make it run so smooth like that with the extra boost...

I don't know it's kinda crazy, but fun at the same time and i'm kinda scared to do it anymore.

anybody got any ideas? mods in the sig.

thanks

sounds like boost creep. you have a stock s4 turbo, and you're trying to control the boost through a hole the size of a penny. You need to port your wastegate like a ****, and/or add a new flapper door.

No boost controller in the world will help ya. Good luck!

I ran 19psi a couple times...

Resulted in oil coming out of my compressor inlet though

Port your wastegate and dont run more than 12 on the stock turbo. I should have listened to everyone.

probably.

it probably would have been dead with the stock IC.

Yeah, but dont think that just because the engine wont go, its all cool.

The turbo WILL go. Its spinning much faster than it was ever designed to at those boost levels. Those bearing can only take so much until....

I hit .94kg/cm2 or about 13.8psi

This felt really quick. I would not trust 16psi even on one spurt, even on my FMIC and upgraded stock ecu!!!!!!!

I think your lucky not to blow the motor!

rebuild kits are cheap enough though... I found one online for $100. PM me if you're interested in where. I don't recall the exact location right now

$100 for what. Turbo?

Its not only the gaskets on the turbo that can let go. Imagine expoding turbine fins in your motor!!!!!!!!!
