15amp Ignition Fuse Blows once a week or so?

Question 15amp Ignition Fuse Blows once a week or so?

The 15 amp fuse in the underdash fuse block is blowing around once a week or so on my 87 TurboII. Current Engine Set up: Stock Engine, boost cut eleminator, 3in. into two 2.375in. turbo back exhaust (Motoria), Mazdatrix Plug Wires, Denso Iridium Plugs. There are half a dozen 15A fuses and none of them are labelled "Ignition".

Another thing...see if the fuse blowing has to do with something you turn on once in a while. I had a fuse going in my truck and noticed it was related to me using the rear wiper.

See my sig. for the FSM, check the wiring chapter, find the fuse and see what's on the same circuit. You may have a short to ground or one of the loads is screwed and is consuming more current.

Sorry the 15amp fuse labled ENGINE. It blow as I was driving down the road.

Tell us what stops working when the fuse blows. Maybe we can figure out which wiring is affected.

Engine fuse feeds the Main Relay when the key is to ON and it feeds the alternators black/white wire on the alt small plug.

It also feeds one of the coils on the Circuit Opening Relay where someone might have installed a fuel cut switch and buggered up the wiring there.

It also feeds the fuel pump thru the circuit opening realy.

It's also tied to the ignition switch.

Car has power just no spark. The car has a fuel cut switch (boost cut eleminator). I have a 25amp fuse in it now. I have not blow that but a 20amp has that I had in it did blow.
