The OP should stop by his local muffler shop to find out what he can and cannot get away with, let them know your budget and what you are trying to do
Yes, but you have a cat. The cat absorbs a huge amount of noise and heat, thus making it a bit easier to run a "cheaper" catback. With just a header, the noise is unbearable and the heat quickly ruins mild steel pipes.

You're hosed, try to find a stock exhaust locally.

I'm selling some dynomax mufflers, but they would require a little work to make work.

I agree find something stock and local for a replacement.

But I did write this up:

I dont think people can really budget a cat + catback for you, it depends on what prices you come about for tubing, muffler, and cat etc.

As far as my exhaust goes most of my cats where getting old, but still passed smog, but I replaced them with:

Used Bonez DP w/ high flow cat $200
Extra piping lying around and a trip to the Metal supply store around $15
Used Muffler $20
Welding, well who knows how much this cost $(Electric Bill)

This system is single exit and came out to be pretty cheap and relatively quiet (due to the DP/Cat), although I'm planning on getting a muffler shop to custom bend a one piece catback later on with a smaller diameter piping (gotta make it up those hills + the loss of low end torque kills me sometimes)

Since its only a temporary thing i could get a cat and use that pipe thats on the first page and then two glass packs (one on each side)? Since theres a cat and the glasspacks are way in the back do you think it would get hot enough to ruin the glass packs within 9 months or so? Next year I will do a good full exhaust but right now i got other bills to pay. Edit: I cleaned that one pipe and it has no cracks or anything in it, and its pretty solid.

I mean you could do that, but I dont think it will sound all that well, it will work though. As far as ruining the glass packs, I couldnt tell you about that, If never worked with glass packs.

i didnt feel like reading all this thread (too damn late) but a local shop that is well known for making great exhaust systems and is a dealer in magnaflow made my 3" cat back for my fc for $90 labor and everything. i supplied the muffler but if i would have used one of theirs it would still have been under $150
