14" wheels or 16"

quick ???
4 log on 14" wheel 195/50/r14
would spin faster but push/grip the car slower
but burn tire on take off

5 log on 16" wheel 255/50/r16
would spin slower but imetiately force the car to take off and accelerate faster holding the weight
better

but of course burning cloud smoke at takeoff look a lot faster if your watching from outside

what to you guys think???

You've got me confused with the 4 lug,5 lug thing because the number of lug nuts has no bearing on grip and you can't put 5 lug wheels on a 4lug car without doing the 4 to 5 lug conversion, but I'll take a shot at your question anyway. The 255/50/16 would have more grip because it is wider so with a good launch I think so it should be alittle quiker.16s look better so I'd use them only problem is I don't think(but am not sure)you can run a255 with the stock offset on the rear and I don't thin a 255 will fit on the front at all.So be careful to get the right offset when you buy rims.

Ok I'm not confused anymore.Wider tires should give better grip and the lower sidewall should help it corner as there is less flexing of the sidewall.

well i got 17" on mine they are 215/40/17 wider foot print but i tend to bounce around curves instead of hugging the curve i take that is from the lower profile ther is no car body roll so the centrificual force is pushing me through the turns....
