13bt Walbro Fuel pump on 12a
(i know its the wrong section but i get most questions answered in 2nd gen forum)
Hey guys i have a question.
I have a 13 turbo swap in my 1st gen rx7 with a Walbro 255 lph fuel pump. My motor just blew and i was planning on putting my 12a back in the car.
I was wondering if i can use the Walbro 255lph fuel pump on the 12a motor. Is there gonna be any issue with the stock pressure regulator or anything of that sort?
(i run a FC in tank set up and dont want to go through the hassle of swapping out the tank with the original 12a in line set up)
If you have any suggestions that would be great!
Thanks guys
-Marvin

..if the 12a is Carbureted, then the Pump is too much for it.A carbed engine runs at a Fuel pressure of about 6-12 Psi..the Fuel injected engine is roughly 35-45...(notice I said roughly.).
I am gonna go out on a limb and say you are gonna have to Resort to the old 12a Setup,or Find a Way to Stick a Hose in the tank and run an External Fuel Pump for a Carbed engine.
Interesting Dilemma Though.
