13bT or 13b REW

Well I know I'm going to be swapping the engine in my 87' GXL. But I'm not sure which way I should go, So I'm looking for help of the pros and cons of putting in either a 13bT or a 13b REW....the thing is in the need they have to be emission legal (I'm in Canada and I have to e-test every 2 years) in the end I want more power... a lot more than what I have.

13BT.

You'll find that the amount of work and money involved in getting an REW in there is more than the amount of power you would get out of it.

What he said, and that it will never be emissions legal. REW swaps have been covered many times, and are mentioned briefly in the FAQ.

The engine swap itself is the least of your worries.
That kinda power is going to break the rest of the non-turbo drivetrain.
Do you have a turbo drivetrain ready to swap in?
