My buddy has an '87 T2 with an s5 motor, full turbo-back exhaust, HKS intake, Greddy boost controller, Apex'i SAF-C 2, and a Koyo Radiator, Koni front struts, KYB AGX rear shocks and he has 329hp at the wheels. Dyno proven.

Other than those parts he's completely stock (which is why I included the suspension).

As they said, 300hp is no goal for a turbo rx7.

Will a full bridge idle at 1300RPM?

Can you accelerate in 5th gear while cruising with a full bridgeport?

No. That turbo is WAY too small. Maybe if you used two...

I can make it idle at 800 RPM if you want. At 1000 it will be a lot happier though.

Of course.

I'm 99.9999999999% sure that at the very least the stock fuel system won't support that kind of power. I think he would have to at least have bigger secondaries and an upgraded pump.

I bet there is other things done too that you don't know about.

Im 100% sure that isnt possible with out a bybrid turbo and possibley a port job too. People with bnr stage 2 are getting around 280whp. I upgraded my turbo similar to a bnr stage 2 also, wayyy more power than the stock turbo.

It sounds like his only engine mods are a turbo back exhaust, adds good power. Racing beat claims 60hp increase, but that is still not enough to be at 329whp!

You can get an IDA lower manifold for about $200, I'm wondering if using that hooked up to your own plenum would add much power.

No, it's not a good mod for the money.

The intake manifold is not holding you back.

The best mod that you can make, which will set the stage for future upgrades, is a full standalone EMS system. Properly tuned, it will provide a good power boost over the stock ECU as well as some fuel savings and reliability. But it's a big investment at $1500+ and not generally a good idea if you intend to keep the car close to stock.

I wouldn't buy a part as important as the ECU used but that's just me...

i vote get a T2 motor, rebuild and street port. then full exhaust and atleast a hybrid turbo along with a front mount Intercooler. upgradee injectors and pump. get ecu (piggyback if your cheap, but you NEED something to control the fuel). you will be a happy camper with that setup.
