13B rebuild kit
13B rebuild kit
88gxl, blown, need to rebuild, i saw a kit for $900 to rebuild it, however ive heard there are cheaper ones? what would everyone suggest (new rotor/rotor housings and such) and price comparison.
You can get kits to just rebuild the rotors for less than 500. But they dont have housings and stuff like that. Just seals and such. Best thing to do is to tear down the engine and see what needs to be replaced and fix those first.
yea i dont know much about 'em...i can take detailed pics and let everyone give suggestions to the problem....it failed a compression check if that helps you any...and putting atf on the spark plugs made it hold compression for about a week
i got dicked on the deal, was runnin perfect when i bought it...week later it dies...and found out thats what was wrong with it......my friend wants me to use a conversion kit from grannysspeedshop.com and put a 4.3L v6 from a blazer/s10 in it....more power/torque, but adapting and driveshaft and **** will end up costing a lot of $

ok those v6's, you can get 250hp out of them with out putting much $ in it, and if you go all out over 400 hp out of one.

What I meant in my post is that I came to the 7 for the uniqueness of it so the only worth while swap that would be for a V10 or V12 because that would truely be something different and powerfull I don't like the V8 sound much but the 10 and 12 sound awesome like a three or four rotor. Like others have said if you swap a 13BT in you can get 250hp easily with probably less weight and more individuality from it than a plain piston engine. either way it is your car do what you want. people tell me to go v8 if im gonna swap.....i think the v6 would do better if you compared the amount of power to the amount of weight you're adding...plus it would be easier to install the v6....also have to get a new transmission, driveshaft, adapters for all types of cables and some type of intake my friend was talkin about or something and a carb instead of fuel injection
how much does my 13b na have stock? ive seen 146, and 190 on websites, only mod that i know of done to it, i added preformance exhaust, like $300 retail, ($200 for me) dynomax through advanced auto/apc cat-back.....made it sound GREAT and actually added a noticable power increase
v6 out of a blazer? what year. a 4.3 is pretty big and heavy and still doest make power and is not at home in a rx7. if its the 2.8 just forget about it. only thing a chevy is good for is its v8's. if anything put a ford 302 in it.
TII swap it will be easier than making mounts and swapping drive shafts and doing all that. I would rebuild the 13B and have it ported that couls get you 200hp not so sure on 250 though. That would be some port.
