13B-RE motor mounts for my FC.. : )
Just bought me a 13B-RE for my 88 n/a. It will be here in 3 business days. Now, I need to find the comp. that sells the mounts. I remember there was an article in here, that I found doing a search, on who sells the mounts for $250-$450, but I cannot find the article anymore and I dont have the link b/c I formatted my computer not too long ago.
P.S.: I did try searching, but I keep getting the "Sorry! The administrator has specified that you can only do one search every 20 seconds" message. (Probably b/c I am using a proxy b/c I'm at work.) Anyway, I would appreciate any links for these mounts. I was so exited that I just bought the motor when I saw it... Didnt think too much about everything else. But, it doesnt really matter now b/c I have a good job and I think I can afford this type of project.... Otherwise, I will have some stuff for sale in a couple of months... lol. Thanks for any help.

Wow... those brackets and mounts from banzai look pretty nice, and they are low cost. I thought they would be about that much just for the mounts, not the brackets and everything for less than $350. lol. This seems to be going good so far.
Also, quick question. I am thinking of using a T2 tranny w/ a t2 wiring harness and ecu until I can go haltech (which is pretty pricey and I want to drive my 7 as soon as possible.) Plus, I know how to install and wire everything, but I dont trust myself tuning my own car, (and I dont feel like paying for a dyno right now b/c I also have college, a condo and a car payment to pay for.) Anyway, is there anything else I should look into while doing this swap?

shibby, i wanna see this swap done. I didnt kno they actually made a kit for it. Everyone always said that the motor wouldnt fit because the mounting locations are off and yada yada. Man if you can do a write up on this. Dont forget to take pics too, i might be persuaded into doing it. hehe or a 20B

Definitely... Stay tuned. I will post pics as everything comes in. I have read about alot of people doing this swap. They say its pretty straight for b/c the mounts are pretty much the same as the FC mounts, just a little different w/ is why you need the mount kit. Besides that, it bolts on to the FC tranny, you can use your T2 flywheel w/ the automatic counterweight that comes with it (b/c all cosmo are auto). The hardest part is the fuel system... most people get standalones. Anyway. I will post pictures as everything starts coming in.

I know, I hope its that nice when in person. I will see. Hopefully it wont give me too much trouble b/c the longer this swap takes, the skinnier I'm gonna get b/c I'm throwin all of my money at it... lol. The only downside is that I hear that gas prices might be to almost $5.00 per gallon in FL by the end of this year... Its already $3.20 a gallon for 93. lol. I'm not rich... Not even close to it... lol. The only reason I can pay for this project is b/c of my tax return, lol.

My car is a 88 GXL that I was going to do a full T2 swap on. I had the LSD overhauled and ordered a 13bt swap. Well, life happened and I had to sell everything b/c of family problems. Now, everything is situated and I was going to do the 13bt conversion b/c I have done it to a couple of other cars and I'm very familiar w/ it. However, since this is my time to shine and everyone else in my car club has some kick *** cars (boosted eclipses, supras, sc300s, rx7s, etc.) , I wanted to do something that would set me apart from everyone else in Fort Lauderdale. So, I decided to do the 13b-re. Yes, its an expensive swap. But when I sat down and started doing the budgetting, I found it very beneficial to go this way. Yes the stock hp numbers might not seem to impressive for the price... but with this engine overall has a way higher hp potential and thats what I want... lol.

My FC is black... For now... lol. Anyway, I dont drive my FC too much anymore. I've been driving FC's since my 10th grade year in high school... I'm a sophmore in college now, and I wanted something a little easier on gas and more comfortable for chill riding (I have took off the ac and ps, etc off of my gxl) so I bought a Lincoln Continental and a 190E. I like the 190E so I am going to give the Lincoln to my sis and drive the 190E as a daily driver (as soon as I change the head gasket). My FC is only going to be for drifting... I might take it up to 27 a few times. I will definately be taking it to Towers when its finished though... So keep an eye out...
