ok so i was driving my 87 rx7 today, and all of the sudden i lost like half the power, it stalled out, and now when i start it up the damn thing idles sooooo rough when it will idle, otherwise it stalls out. i dont know where to start to find the problem, it has new spark plugs, wires, new k&n filter. i already looked at as many vacum lines i could find, they seemed ok, checked my plugs, they look fine. Anyone with any advice it would be great to here from you. the car ran grrrreat, through out the entire power band it was awesome and then all this started happening. this is my daily driver and i need to figure this out.

 

Compression check...?

 

Get/do a compression test. No use in trying to fix anything with low compression.

 

im going to do a compression test today, i guess we'll see what the outcome of that is. If its a seal im probly going to sell it. so for anyone who reads this, its a 87 RX-7 n/a 149000 miles, manual, it ran awesome until yesterday, motor still runs but not so well, never smoked and still doesnt smoke at all even with the engine problem, new clutch, master cylinder, brakes, tires, and the body is a good shape still has a good glossy paint too. offers?
