13B N/A tear down

My friend's 88 GTU is steaming...bad news. Should I most likely be expecting a blown coolant O ring or warped housing (or both??!!)? He swears it never over heated..he keeps tabs on the guages like that.

If the housing is warped, can a machine shop true it or do I need another alternative?

Thanks

i would find where the engine is leaking coolant from first before jumping the gun, just don't let him drive it until he finds out where the coolant leak is and whether or not it is a coolant seal or not. generally the internal seals fail before the external ones do and is why i suggested looking it over a bit more thoroughly before condemning the motor for a rebuild.

generally unless it was severely overheated the parts shouldn't be warped, but if it wasn't serviced regularly then it could need a few different pieces.
