13b in my basement
I took the rebuilt 13 b out of my 87 parts car. What I hope to do is put it into my 86fc n/a daily driver and rebuild the motor that comes out of my daily driver. My question,is it worth it to port a 13b n/a what kind of porting can I do my self? what should I be looking for when I open the engine up to rebuild it? I have a rebuild kit minus the apex and side seals,I'm still searching for them,Should I go with a thicker seals?

worth porting: yes, of course.
do yourself: i dont know you.
looking for: i honstly dont know.
thicker seals: no.
seals:
atkinsrotary.com
mazdatrix.com
or send it to rotaryresurrection.com. or another reputable person in your area if you can afford that option. better than building an engine that doesnt last and isnt as well ported.

If it's the daily driver, you might consider sending it to rotaryresurrection.com and selecting the 5th and 6th port only option. It allows you keep a steadier idle but gives you more power on top end...at least that's what I've read.
