13B Injection emission controls?

I have a 1982 FB, but the engine is a 13B with Injection... So I thought here would be the place to ask about the types of emission controls I can put on this..

I'm already running low on cash with the other 14 items I needa fix before I can get her registered..... so I'm looking for a cheap way of stopping these emissions.

I was under the impression that with injection, the ECU can be adjusted to minimise emissions? I also have a single CAT but no air pump... Pretty stripped back.. I needa get an engineers report on the engine and emission control too, cant just top up the gas tank with alcohol heh.

Thanks

First item you'll definetly need will be the air pump...After that, if your only goal is to pass emissions, you won't need much in the way of a complete 13B emissions solenoid & ACV system, because you can rig the air pump output straight to the cat using whatever plumbing design you wish...

Ummm, okay. the 13b EFI didnt come out until 84...so you no doubt have some riggery afoot there. The inspectors may or may not be friendly because of this. You should find the stock emissions equipment for this engine, and install it, and you shouldnt have problems if you're running the stock computer and wiring. The ecu can not be adjusted in any way, this is true of all the stock ecu's in rx-7s...unless you send them out for reprogramming, add a chip, a piggyback, etc.

Your sig lists 1000cc injectors...way too much for an NA engine that originally came with 680 injectors. You're dumping in about 30% too much fuel, which cant be good for emissions. I didn't see any mods listed for controllling that fuel.

I'm running a 'MicroTech Digi Series 1 Pro'... The previous owner was prepping it for a turbo... I'm not sure what map's running either. With emissions here in Australia - basically I need to find someone who knows rotaries so I can point out that I have all the equipment installed and they understand it... So they won't actually run a test heh. Provided the equipment's there and they understand it, it should be fine.

With your microtech, you should be able to adjust the mix to suit your emissions requirements. If you're saying you only need a visual inspection, then just find the equivalent engine in a junkyard and swap the stuff over...just don't hook everything up, put plugs in the lines and plates under the valves and such so that it looks stock but does not operate.
