13b holley question

so i've read alot of threads on the topic, and ikno theres probly alot more but i cant seem to find the answer for what im looking for. i have an s5 in an s4 tii chassie that was put together rather poorly.i want to know when i put the carb on will the stock ignition make it run with just cas hooked up.i've read that people have done this in the past and it ran fine. i realize the s5 omp wont work with out the afm hooked up so im going to premix. any input would help thanks.

Sorry, can't answer you question, but I have one for you.
Can you even legally do that in PA?
Here in Colo., such a swap would be illegal and the car would never pass emissions.
The actual tailpipe readings would be irrelevant, you'd fail the visual before testing even started.

No.. he says he has a Question for you,not a setup.

You won't be able to run the car anyways with stock ignition as if it is set up as S5 because you need the OMP hooked up.You can't take it off the ECU(harness) or it will go into limp mode.So scratch the CAS timing and whatnot.

If you are set on running a carb, then I would be looking at 1st gen setups..running dizzy and coils. You would get rid of the Stock Ecu.

Oh, I see...my sentence structure was a bit ambiguous (not to mention the dropped "r").

Still and all though skeeter, your assumption that the "one" I referred to was a carb set up mentioned in a completely different post rather than a call back to the subject of the immediately preceding clause is adventurous to say the least.
Almost Joycean.

OK so here is my omp i think its safe to say it cant work properly in this condition. Now the reason im posting this pic is to show u guys that even tho it looks like this im still not running in limp mode the car will rev to 7k no problem(yes premix). now the thing that bothers me is the fact that from what iv read is afm n tps are for controling a/f ratio omp along with injectors.I wouldve figureed it running bad with the rats nest and air pump removed but actually it runs 2 times better then my s4 vert. now notice that in all of this i have not been able to find one thread linking any of these said system to ignition or timing so please if im wrong please correct me if take a step back n think it might work let me kno that as well n ill give it a shot n we can either rejoys in my victory or u can laugh at my defeat.
