pointless no doubt. I'm sure all the car companies switched to fuel injection because it was a stupid idea. sorry but why the hell would you want to change ur fuel system? ya might as well just do a v8 swap if ya want a carb.

Thats bullshit, the carbkit has yielded around a 30-50hp gain! the racing beat one anyways... It gives much better performance, but I would believe is more susceptable to maintenance cause of all the ******* parts in a carb.

EFI _is_ better than carb, no two ways about it.
Your most probably talking about an IDA or DCOE setup. That is a muuch less restrictive inlet manifold design, so you would hope you would gain some more power up high in the RPMs.
However an EFI thottle body setup is a better option yet.
Since my microtech is about to be used for much more serious project, I'm considering putting a 13b carb on my FC from an old Rx4/5. You can do this with an adaptor plate very easily.
The RX4/5 13b carbies are not a bad little unit. Neither is the 12a carb from the 1st gen Rx-7's.
Obviously a Stock EFI setup will be better than these under most circumstances, unless you have a heavily ported block and other supporting mods (ie, good exhaust)
