13B Carb conversion

Got an 88 13b, Putting it in a 1958 Berckley(650 Lbs), considering scraping the fuel injection. would I be better off with a 12a or convert this 13B. What do I need to get or do to convert it. ? I also have a 12a setting here. Can I use the 88 ECM for timing and carburate the engine? I am Rotary challenged, Any help would be appreciated. What carbs and manifolds work well with these engines. I may run into a height issue with the manifolds. Does anyone know of a Carb setup that does not set on top of the block.

You are going to put a rotary engine in a car that rare?

Either the 12A or 13B would be overkill. I assume you are going to replace the powertrain and reinforce the frame on that pastic car so the rotary engine doesn't turn it into a pretzel. Parts for the 12A aren't as easy to get anymore, but you may want to use it and save the 13B for a car that needs more torque.

The rotary engine has a weak vacuum signal, so some carbs (Holley, etc.) don't work so well without modifications. Weber IDA and Holley manifolds generally mount the carbs to the side of the engine.

You certainly don't need the performance, but I should still mention that individual throttle body EFI and a standalone EMS are the top of the line induction components for rotary engines.

The stock ECU won't like working for only the ignition if you take out the AFM.

Get a racing beat intake manifold, a 600cfm holley, throttle plate and throttle cable along with dual msd blaster2's and 85 or earlier distributor, if you wanna eliminate the igniters on that distributor and got the money to spare get also two msd 6a's or 6al's if you want rev limiter, carb (could be holley, most people preffer the blue one) fuel pump and fpr and a header. And for your safety's sake do not do any mods to the engine, it should be freaking fast as it is... Engine mounts and the rest has to be custom made I guess including the exhaust tubing, racing beat muffler should keep it pretty quiet (as much as possible LOL)...

I was thinking of doing a single rotor VW bug... same kinda thing... except totally different.
