13B Apex seal blowout!
I have a rebuilt engine that has 7000 miles. I recently had new lead and tailing lines installed and they switched the firing order. The work was done on 9.2.04 and the engine backfired and blew 12.13.04.
The car ran okay for a day and then started running rough. I had not driven it hard until the 12.13 day when I accelerated and ran the RPM to 6000 in 2nd gear. Heard a ping and whistling noise.
So my question is: Does the switched firing order prevent the car from starting (the installer insists the car would not start) or can the timing be adjusted to overcome the misplaced lines. Would the car run okay?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

yes, you could get the car to run with the lines reversed.
And yes; you would blow out the apex seals if you took the engine to a high RPM and the Trailing plugs were firing before the leading plugs.
