I have a 87 rx7 no turbo, can i put a 13 A model tarnny into a 13 B engine, the tranny is out of a 83?

 

There was no 13A motor. There was a 12A motor, but that will not fit on your 13b.

 

Actually the 1gen trannies bolt right up to the engine, but the tailshaft must be swapped with the one from your original so the crossmember will bolt up. The 1gen trans is a bit weaker, and MUCh shorter geared...you'll have acceleration from hell, but the engine will be working hard on the highway due to the gearing.

 

My bad, sorry Mr. Landers. I thought it bolted up differently.
