12A and 13B interchangeability? (rotor housing)

Is 12A rotor housing interchangeable woth 13B housing? I'm not meaning about manifolds, but otherwise will it be interchangeable?

By "rotor housing" I mean this part: http://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/...4/NEW01~22.JPG

Will it fit?

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL - really out loud
the 12 stands for the displacement of just shy of 1200 ccs
while the 13 stands for the displacement of 1308 ccs....

They're completely different sizes. Rotors would be different, end and mid plates would be different sizes.

O, and welcome to the messageboard. We all learn stuff over time.

A 10a is approx 1L in displacement. each of the housings would be larger as # increases, unless for like 20b or 787B where you add on a rotor or go by hp (787 4 rotor).

No, the 13B rotors are 10mm thicker than the 12A rotors.

Actually, the 12A and 13B have the same eccentricity and generating radius. The only real difference is the width of the rotor.

you can actually use end and mid plates from a 12A on a 13B but they tend to wear a lot faster than the newer nitrite treated irons.

Only if you use 84-85 13B rotor housings because the water seal grooves are on the 12A rotor housings, and not the irons.

The way Mazda increased the displacement of the Rotaries was by width, so...

The 12A rotors and rotor housings were 10mm wider then the L10A (10A,) and

the 13B rotors and housings were 10mm wider then the 12A.

So, in short, in support of the others, no. It won't fit.
