anyway, hey, got a question for you, since you seem to be good on the 10AE's, what's a good price for one? There's a dealer like 2 doors down from where I work, and one of our employees is on good terms with the dealer, they've got a 10AE in the garage, but I'm not sure how much they want for it...
it's just a pretty 88 turbo II...in fact, theyre heavier and slower than a regular turbo II fwiw. I know, I have to push the ******* in and out of the shop all the time, so I can give a concrete comparison
Depends on condition. If it needs nothing, runs good, has good paint and interior, $3000-4000 would not be out of the question; otherwise, price it just like a regular turbo II that needs attention. Remember if you buy one that needs restoration, the 10ae specific parts are a bitch to get in good condition, and way overpriced. By the time you get it back into top shape, you'll have $4-5k in it anyway. IMO, 10ae's are overrated, though they are pretty...

They say there were only 1500 made or something, but I swear otherwise. I've seen an absolute bundle around where I live alone. I almost see as many AE's as I do regular 7's!
Yeah, but if you figure 1500 as the original production run, and say 500 or so of those are no longer on the road (wrecked/crushed) that leaves 1000 still lingering around. That is enough for at least 1-2 per major city/region in north america. So, east TN has 4 that I know of, and there are prolly 4-8 between nashville, chatanooga, and memphis, for the average number of 10 per state. SO you figure the US might have 500-750 of them, and the rest in canada, it isnt at all unreasonable to find several in one state/province/large city...
do you know where i can find a set of 10th AE rims? thanks!
No, I dont have any 10th's to part. Damn, you could make some jack off the other 10th owners if you did though...last I saw badges were going for $100/set+. and steering wheels nearly that much.
Just get a set of polished 88 rims in great shape, and powdercoat them. You'll come out about the same as if you bought some 10ae wheels, and you'll get them in your hands a lot quicker(theyll be easier to find).

Could use a good RX-7 mech around here. Plus it seems AEs really like you.
