10th anne. compression

my brother is going to look at a 10th anne. fc tomorrow. and he already has compression results, however, i was wondering what "normal" numbers are for the car. not quite sure if mileage means anything, but it is at 80k. thanks

i think anything below 70-80 and the engine is on the way out. i think thats more toward 70 than 80 though.

a brand new engine should have comp of around 100 i believe. and make sure the bumps are even. only off by 1-2psi at most.

By normal numbers, do you mean the Mazda Comp Gauge numbers, or regular psi?

7 or higher on the mazda gauge........
85 psi or higher on a regular gauge...
