10ae wont crank.

My 10th ae has been running fine ever since i got it.
Everday i would turn on the car just to warm it up, i let it warm up for a while. went inside my house and i came out and it was off.

I didnt really think anything of it, but then that night i went to drive it and all it did was just crank up then shut right off.

any ideas?

Ok, im a dumbass.
The car needed gas and a battery.

So comes to find out, my speedo/odometer doesnt work, but its connected in the transmission and behind the gauge cluster
the gas gauge doesnt work, and the lights on the gauge cluster doesnt light up.

Any ideas?

unthread the speedo cable from the trans and make sure the cable inside is present. sometimes if they are present and everything is hooked up as it shold be you will find that you have a broken cable.

as for the gas gauge, i would first make sure you have enough gas in the tank to make the gauge register and then look at the sender and the connections at the sender as the culprit. verify that the connections are tight and clean before you go anywhere else..

as for teh gauge lights..check the dimmer

Ok thanks man,
i filled up the gas tank yesturday.
So i know theres enough gas, but it says theres only 3/4's in there, and then when im on empty it goes to 1/4.

i already checked the dimmer.
