10ae Glass?

Is the glass tinted bronze with a film or is it actually bronze colored glass.

Well I guess I need to state the question a little better. I have a 88 10thae and the side and rear windows have been tinted black. If I remove the black tint from the windows will it still be bronze or just clear glass?

If it was bronze and tinted over, you would have a pretty wierd tint.

My vote goes for "it was just bronze tint"

The glass is tinted, there is no tint film, its inside the glass. You would be fine to remove the tint that is laid over it. I have tint over my 10th AE windows, and i love the look it gives, its kinda a smoked bronze color.

Thanks a million for the info. I was soo worried about it being regular glass. It just had me baffled b/c everything I was reading in the oe ads suggested it was just tinted and so many people were looking for the oe glass.

The 10th AE and Infini III and Infini IV all had bronze tinted glass.

That is to say, the glass had a bronze color to it.

It was not a layer of polyester film that had a bronze color applied to the glass.

It is different than the untinted factory glass, and the blue tinted factory glass that most other models came with.
