10 min turn off time?

Hey guys, ive got a friend who is looking into a 2g 1990 rx-7.

But for some reason every 10 min of idle it shakes and dies.

The lady who we talked to says that she has repalce a hole slew of things including a starter, plugs, water pump, cat and more.

Anyone have any other ideas on what would be doing this before he blows his cash on it?

what if it's driving around? Maybe some electrical connection is loose and when it heats up enough it expands and disconnects and dies... is there a turbo timer? Maybe something is hooked up wrong or something. (or if there were a faulty "on" position in the keyswitch)

Check for vac leaks, loose wires, something shorting out.

EDIT: Does it die when the cold start stops (3k rpm), and it returns to a normal idle? Does the engine run really rough at low rpms? Do a compression test..
