the spark plug wires are the stock ones... the trailing look to be a hair short so i picked up another set of leading lines... you shouldnt have a problem finding a ground
well got the engine peices back from a friend (jason) who paints all my stuff... he is very talented with a spray gun in his hand... this is all PPG tri coat painted
i ported the irons today aswell.... and will build the motor tommorrw
ill get some pics of the ports and of t he build tommorrow
here are some of the engine and gauge panels
pics dont do justice to what the engine really looks like
oh and on the bottom pic the front cover is just dusty, the paint isnt fucked up

thanks guys, cant wait to get it running again
today i put the engine together..... I still cant get over the simplicity of these motors
everything went great and took about 1.5 hrs total. here are acouple pics i snapped, should of taken more... some of the ports and the engine assembled
Ill start and try to get the oil pan done tommorrow after class if i can find some aluminum.... then i can drop the engine in and start mocking the intake and turbo manifold
the apex seals have some super glue on them so that is the stuff in the pic...
fairly large streetport as you can see
and so you know i am making my own oilpan because i am using a rew block with s5 front cover...

this is awesome man, Have you thought about painting the bottom duct for the intercooler the same colour as the car so it looks like its part of the bumper?

Good idea on painting the lower piece of the IC ducting
And i will more than likely be running on E85 to suppress detonation with the high compression rotors and keep EGT's lower
well guys i was very productive today..... got the oil pan 80% done.
It turned out very nice,..... nicer than i thought it would.
I made it out of 3/16" aluminum sheet, and i figure it will hold atleast 5 qts...
here are some pics..... ask me if you have any questions or comments on it, let me know what you think
i need to do the drain tommorrow and some baffling.....

Good work Z, though it looks like the pickup tube is a ways off the bottom. You've probably already thought of it, but, while cornering it could cause problems with starvation especially with how wide the pan is. It also looks like there is quite a bit of room towards the rear that could cause problems during a hard launch.

I am damn good TIG'er because i went to a tech school for 2 years and got my associates in welding technology....... the whole second year i just aluminium and SS TIG'ed and alot of CNC Press Brake stuff.. now i am going to school for engineering, love fabbing stuff though
any other ideas?

I think your intercooler inlet & ducting is far too large for your intercooler core. Bigger inlet does not equal better cooling, and in your case, likely lessened cooling.
I also think you're going to be hard pressed to hit 600whp with the high comp rotors on gasoline, even w/ E85. The major reduction in advance you'll need will become the limiting factor at the higher power levels. Might want to consider methanol as the primary fuel if you want 600 hp with those rotors.

I would tend to agree with you on that one man. I didn't know he was running high compression rotors and if you ask most who have been there done that with the rotary they will tell you skip the high comp rotors on a beast like that and just go with the lower comp rotors. I don't even want to emagine how finicky that tune is going to be.

And on the Hgh Comp. thoughts, from the polishing the rotors, comp should be a little less...
I havent decided whether completley on E85 or not..... I may be stretched to hit 600 on e85 alone like you say, but on e85 i should be able to make 450-475 safely and for track and dyno days run c16, i have the ability to run 2 completely diff maps, then i should have no saftey problems touching 600. those are my thoughts, i have been talking to a local tuner trying to figure this out
Also i like the way my last High/comp motor i built acted off boost and the turbo spooling chracteristics...
the B series motor is for mocking manifold designs, Boost Innovations will build whatever the customer desires, and that is whose exhaust flange in the pic also., and yes it is a nice peice There online store should be online soon and should be available on there
lol... ask honda guys if 9.7:1 is un-boostable

I have injector envy!
Correct me if I am wrong but it isnt comparing apples to apples when it comes to fuel or compression requirements when shooting for the same hp goal on a piston compared to a rotary.
