well, he's got a fairly big turbo if i'm correct...where are you launching bc if you're just taking off from a dead stop w/ hardly a launch and that big turbo a 14.8 is expected. if you are launching is wheelspin a problem? I'd expect first gear to be a waste in that car and all it takes is a bad bog or shift to 2nd to blow that run. when we first ran our old school Z at the shop ('79 280 w/ 280zx turbo block, T3/T4, FMIC and TECII) we couldn't break into the 12's despite 118mph traps. kept running 13.1 and 13.2 and it was all in the launch and shift to finally get a 12.2 (hehe it was a magic run, only happened like 2 times). This was on slicks too!! car was running 403 lbs ft @ the wheels - does your car feel slow??? I think you'd know if it had major problems...run smooth? idle??
