For those of you making "big" power like this, what clutch have you found to work best? I was thinking a sprung 6-puck, with the ACT X-treme PP.

I've been told my SPEC Racing Clutch should be fine for my ~400rwhp.

ACT street strip XT disc clutch and Pressure plate that I have is rated at 460ft-lbs of torque and its not as harsh as a 6-puck

you figure 400 HP at the wheels, you will probably make about 325-350 ft-lbs of torque... clutches are rated by torque holding capacity, not by HP... our cars torque numbers are always about 20+% lower than the HP number

I've been using a RPS 6 puck clutch. I personally stay FAR away from ACT, as their 6 and 3 puck clutches are a solid hub, wich is very bad on a transmission, aka, shattered gears. The RPS clutch I am using is the ceramic on one side and kevlar on the other, fully sprung hub, so its not as harsh, and lasts longer than full ceramic. Using the heay duty pressure plate, my clutch holds up to 500ft-lbs of torque, yet has smooth engagement. I'd check them out!!

IM pretty sure ACT does make a sprung 6-puck. If youll notice in my 1st post, I did say I wanted a sprung clutch disk, but I was planning on a ACT pressure plate.
