[PICS] Dad's new ride

I went to go pick up Dad's (new) car last night. We got there, talked
with the owner and this is the story:

He bought it a few months ago, drove it for two days and it flooded.
He searched around and attempted the unflooding procedure and tried it
with little luck. He didn't change the plugs when trying to unflood
it, just dumped ATF in there. He got it to fire and run for a few
seconds. He said it had absolutely no power and was smoking real bad,
so he shut it off and started calling mechanics. Everyone he talked to
said it needed a new engine, so he wrote it off and got a new car.

After I talked to him, I told him I could get it running and if I did,
did he still want to sell the car. He insisted on it leaving his yard.

Pulled the leadings, spun the engine over and replaced them with new
ones. Fired right up and smoked like hell from all the ATF still in
it. I went out on the main road and gave it a hard run through the
gears and brought it back - no more smoke!

I did start it this evening and got some smoke, so it's quite possible
the oil control rings are headed south - not bad smoke, just a good
bit. It still smelled a little like burning ATF, so it's possible
there's still some burning off. (He only lives a couple of miles from
here)

...and here are the pictures. My 88 'vert, Dad's '86 Sport and my 90
Turbo.

From what I can tell, it's had an interior conversion (oxblood to
blue), has A/C, sunroof, new paint, no power steering and Old School MOMO
wheels(!)

All for $400. Not a bad deal in my book!
