I think they are pretty heavy - close to 30 lbs.?
They are not much lighter than stock seats at around 30 - 35 lbs.

$1,000+ is absolutely ludicrous for seats like that.
Sparco 2's go for $900 a pair used on eBay.
A used JDM Infini right-side seat went for $350 on eBay.
There's a guy in the For Sale section who wanted $800 for a pair of used JDM Infini seats.

only the pass side needs to be fixed ... i cleaned them throughly and both of them look like new... very very minor wear

the pass side slider part is completely missing from when i bought it. so i was thinkging of either using a stock seat slider or buying a sparco or momo one. Im not sure yet ...

(edit) both for 500 is not a bad deal i guess. looks there is some damage but nothing too major, i would say if you really like the seats get them .. thats the cheapest you will see them in a long time. If your wondering about fitment ... im about a 34 waist, 5'9" and 175lbs and they wrap around me very well ... just a little snug at the buttom (i have a fat **** i guess lol)
