the sound depends on MANY things.

gutted cat or straight pipe.
turbo or non.

IMO, i think the SWEETEST sound i've ever heard from a car, rather piston or rotary, came from an FC with a 3" DP, 3" straight pipe, and CS exhaust...

Meh, I'm only 20 and only daily drove it for 2 years, and it wasn't at the that level except for the last 8 months of driving it. No biggie

Besides like I said I get my hearing checked every couple years, last time 6 months ago, and it's still perfect. And also like I said, systems aren't really my thing anymore and I'm selling that car.

Turbo is quieter than N/A, the turbo muffles it a tad. Size isn't going to make a difference really.

lets see i have the CS cat back with a rb header and 3" catco high flow cat, and yes its LOUUUUUDDDD and nasty beast sounding lol. power gains are really good with it tho since its very free flowing,

ive noticed the CS cat back isnt to bad of build quality, ive had it a year and it hasnt rusted at all, however the n1 is fiber glass filled and all of it has burned out lol so it isnt much of a muffler anymore, but ohh well...

pros: its cheap as can be and the most free flowing besides having nothing there at all!

cons: loud loud loud! and LOUD!

well i if i run the cs exhuast it will be louder because i have the rb header. Now that clip sounded pretty good, but it was on a trubo'd car. But i can imagine what it would sound on a n/a.

I still havent made up my mind yet. I am looking at the cs exhaust cause of its low $.

It still sounds good, but im still considering the apex n1 duals.

ARGHh i just dont know!

Everyone I see with RB has the tips hanging way too low and you can see the canisters, looks awful IMO, either that or it's lopsided where one side is lower than the other. The hanging low part could either be fault in design (or lack there of if people like how that looks), or merely because the old exhaust hanger doughnuts are worn, I don't know. And the lopsided tips would be the fault of the owner, I know that.

You've apparently never seen my car.

The RB system is one of the best designed systems for that car. It looks absolutely amazing, and the mounting hardware kit (That you can buy additionally) mounts better than any other exhaust system on the market. There are a ton of durable rubber hangers and grommets that you can buy directly from Racing Beat. My exhaust is mounted rock solid, there is no noise or rattle from it, the height is perfectly even, and it sits perfectly recessed in my exhaust cutouts. Corksport doesn't hold a candle to the quality. That so called "Stainless Steel" piece of **** rusted out on me within a year.

Was that a T II that had the RB system? It sounds more along the lines of what I want. I want to replace the stcok system, but I want somthing quiet. Can someone post a RB system with a N/A car please?

My thoughts on a new exhaust include a DP, presilencer, and new mufflers.

Maybe I haven't. Like I said I haven't SEEN anyone do it right besides RarestRX. My point was that the majority of people do it wrong, and it looks ugly as hell.

That isn't Racing Beats fault. RB is well designed with the RX7 100% in mind. It sounds nice (really nice at WoT). But its appearance can't be ragged on due to some peoples poor abilities to mount an exhaust.

I realize the problem is that most people have worn doughnuts in their exhaust hangers and that is why it sags, don't worry. My point was that most people don't take the time to do it right, and when they don't it looks awful IMO. Just like for the same reasons that some people hate the look of the "cans" on the "ricer" exhausts because they can see the fat muffler sitting behind the tip, I did it "right" and the only thing visible are the tips.

I love my cs exhaust.

loud? yep.

Quality? Pretty damn good for the price you pay.

Sound? ******* amazing whether it be at idle, or 7000rpm.

Looks? I like it personally. Ricer this, can that....all in all it looks good on these types of cars (japanese sports cars)

Reconsider? Not in a million years. But of course thats just me.
