Side note, the power gains on RB's site are skewed, for the TII at least. Because that includes the increased boost that comes with it, so it's more of an increase from exhaust flow and boost, not just exhaust.

If the buyers would install it properly it would fit properly. The HP figures aren't skewed imo. The exhaust is the direct cause of the boost increase. It would be the same for the CS turbo back because it would increase boost aswell. Its a wonder why they haven't spend 50 bucks on a dyno run for their **** eh? :/

But the point is, NO ONE installs it correctly. Only person I have EVER seen that has had theirs installed "properly" was RarestRX. Every other single persons hangs down and looks like crap. I hate the oval shaped look of the RB mufflers.

Example, I hate it when "ricey" (as you put it) mufflers hang down, I admit that. However I put mine on and had them installed "properly" to where you cannot even see the canisters, only the tips.

Who cares about loud? Not like I notice when my music is playing, and this is coming from someone with an RB header, no cat/presilencer, straight pipe to dual ebay mufflers, no exhaust diffusers and ported exhaust. If I can live with that and not notice it, no one should be bothered by the CS

I personally don't know. I haven't taken the exhausts and put them on a car and dyno'd back to back. The CS is probably close to what the RB does EXCEPT in the sound quality department.

Besides what another member on this board say, SOUND IS EVERYTHING. Why? because you have to deal with it when you drive. If you are buying something for a dedicated race car get the CS. You won't be out on the street getting noise tickets and chances are you will have ear plugs or a radio headset in your helmet to reduce the noise. If you are going to drive every day get the best you possibly can which IMO is either a RB or a Borla setup.

Yes CS exhaust will do the same, if not more. It will provide the same flow, a lot straighter (no y-pipe), the boost should increase similarly, and it'll be lighter.

Sarcasm bro, look it up man. Don't take all my talk as a serious tone. This is an internet forum. Most of the time i'm just being sarcastic or joshing around.

Haha, I get my hearing checked every couple years, still perfect.

Believe me, my last daily driver has a system in it that put out 160 dB as recorded at a Car Toys Outlaw Bass Comp. And that's how I listened to it at all the time.

I guess I just have a high tolerance *sigh*

Like I said before, with my music all the way up in the FC (this is with only 2 stock speakers btw) I don't even notice the exhaust.

High tolerance

Dude that's how you gotta listen to it, if your head isn't rattling, then it's not up high enough

With my system it was like a back massage, lean your head onto the headrest and your vision would blur when the bass hit.

I'm done with systems though, it was an old obsession of mine and I no longer care that much about it. I even did a small internship at a high end audio place and decided it was getting old. That old daily driver, my SUV, is getting sold very very soon so I can get an FD Systems are old news, rotaries is where it's at for me now.

Damn, ok for everyone extept dDuB sound is probably important. Specially trying to carry passengers. The ride is already bumpy and uncomfortable, we dont' need to add obscenly loud to it now do we?

Let me get the links here........

Well, to side with the CS exhaust they do sell a presilencer, I dunno how well it works though. Apexi' exhaust have a simular note that I have found. But still the duals fit the FC more (what RB has of course) with the cutouts and to keep the 'stock' look.

My cousins Civic had a 160dB system that I helped build, you couldn't hear the person next to you yelling at the top of their lungs.

Well, I guess that's true. Maybe that's why my GF always complains and says it's loud? I'm always like "what're you talking about?" to her response of "what?!"

The bumpy and uncomfortable ride is definitely there too Solid motor, tranny, and diff mounts with coilovers/tokico illuminas coming soon. Oh well, that is why I dubbed my FC the unstreetable daily driver.

Anyways, back on topic. I do honestly think that the CS exhaust is a good PERFORMANCE exhaust, but the 2 downfalls I see are that it is single and unless you're going to mold the other hole so it doesn't look stupid then don't do it, and it can definitely be loud for a lot of people/passengers, or in my case angry/sleepless neighbors.

www.aztechrotary.com/CS.wav

www.aztechrotary.com/RB.wmv

Please right click and save as thanks. My download bandwidth pretty much sucks so if more than 3-4 people get on downloading these it will go to like <10kbps but its better than nothing. I forgot if the CS is the cat-back or the full turbo back but i'm pretty sure its the cat-back because I remember it being an early S4 FC. The RB is my friends street ported/hybrid TII with the 80mm RB turbo back we had just installed. Sadly the car later blew its engine that night.

BTW: i'm the guy in the green shirt and wankel7 is the skinny white dood.

i was talking about the comparison between the CS and the SS exhaust, they are probably the same make. i'm sure the RB has a better fart can than the other 2. as far as performace, i doubt you could tell much difference if you dynoed all 3 of them on the same car. it's all about sound preference.

Eh, I'm just not a fan of anything but sealed boxes. Sealed boxes give much better and cleaner sound, ported boxes do give better low/deep bass, though, and can hit higher dB levels. Just think about how sweet it is that i hit 160dB on a completely sealed box

Note - here is another example of CS exhaust download should be fast, usually is.
