$500 shopping list, what would you get?

Starting with a low mileage 87 TII and this budget in mind what would your list be like?
I'm thinking new shocks, new cat and maybe mufflers... that should hit $500 or so. What do you guys think?

Honestly, I might just blow it all on strippers haha.

replace fluids, fuel and oil filter, belts, spark plugs and wires, etc. first. then save for an exhaust probably.

even though 87 t-66 thinks im a douchebag i agree with him. id take care of maintenance items first then worry about upgrades.

Important first step: What kind of shape is the car in right now? What kind of maintenance records do you have? Are the tires in good shape? How about the brakes?

As noted above, I'd spend your money on the basic service and wear items /if you need them/ before I spent a dime on anything else.

in honesty, replace tires if needed, upgrade headlights *not meaning to HID, but even some H4 housings wiht silverstar bulbs would be a great upgrade*... maybe some new speakers, go over the stereo, clean up the interior replace broken trim/pieces..

Make it comfortable first, so you would enjoy driving it,

+1

The 1st thing i did after getting my 7 was put in some good quality speakers (a sub isn't really needed), did a little cleaning, and put on silverstars. o and yellow fogs . Still in the process of getting a nice bucket seat.

Of course do the maint.

BUT I would choose

Boost gauge + Single gauge holder $100
Sheep skin covers $75
Dash mat $40
Dynomat for the doors $60
Shifter Bushing kit $45
Tint rear window $100

That leaves $80 for shipping etc.....That is what I would do to a stock TII for $500

If its performance wise your talking about.

Single exit exhaust from SSAC.=) Mine works great and its like 300 shipped.
TO go with this you want to buy a fuel cut defender(FCD).

A full exhaust system will make boost creep up to 9psi therefor requiring the FCD WIth the exhaust.

lol

yeah, i've had the car for almost 3 years, I've done fluids, oxygen sensor, etc...

i've been auto-xing it most of it's life under my ownership too, that's how good of a shape it is in.

I'm not yet sure which direction i'm going, just wanted your awesome opinions and thx for all the suggestions! Your list of ideas will influence mine when the time comes.
