I actually reccomend using a Wideband O2 sensor. So yes, you can use one

You only really need two things to pass emissions:

1) A good stock cat/that gets good air from an airpump
2) A good tune on your ECU (Read: You dont have some messed up setup that has you misfiring, pinging, and detonating everywhere, and you're running decent AFRs)

Once the S5 version is released, will it be constantly for sale or it is a limited production run? Also, any pics?

I know that you can use it with a MAP sensor, but I don't know if this sensor is included in the kit that Zeal is offering. If not, you can buy one for a few bucks, solder it up to the board, and run a vac line.

It comes with the MAP sensor biult into the MegaSquirt unit. You just need to run a vac line to it.

Yes, you can leave the AFM in if you want, but I reccomend removing it and burning it.

It's easy for a standalone, since they have a base map on it already all you have to do is tune it and not have to worry about the initial settings to make it work. Just hook up a laptop and find a nice empty road. (a wideband helps alot here) Just make alot of passes with varying load and rpm, (on the laptop) hold shift then press up or down to richen or lean the mixture untill you get the desired results. But then you also have to mess with accel enrichment, timing, split. It helps if you know alittle bit about what your doing or have someone to help you along. There are a few people on the forum that could help you through tuning it some though

I assume you are n/a?

If you tune it good you will notice an increase in power (no more stupid AFM! yay) and you should pick up some mileage since you will be leaning the mixture out.

So from what I can tell, a wideband o2 sensor would allow the Megasquirt to auto-tune it?

Auto-Tune for timing would be awesome It's a feature people have been playing around with for some time, especially with this ion-sensing technology.
