$$ How much for a TII? $$
Yet another "how much for...." question (sorry).
What is the approximate price range for a rust free (thats the big thing... maybe a little rust... but not much) TII with a blown engine/driveline?
I want a good body to start with 'cause the car i'm working on now is a rusty POS (i'm gonna sell it when I'm done.) And I kinda want to rebuild the engine myself (perverse as it may seem)... i'm just that kinda person...
So yeah, approximate costs for the car?

This might help some...
I paid $650 for mine w/ a blown coolant seal. Body and interior are near mint, it is in really good condition. Paint on it is fucked. 155k miles on the odometer. Oh yeah, and rust free!
Depending on the condition, I would not pay more than $900. And that would have to be in excellent shape.

Its all about location and opportunity. Here in CA I would not buy an RX-7 if I found ANY rust on it (besides sunroof, of course) and non running seems to go for $500-1500 in nice shape. I bought my 87TII for $1500 and it smogged/ran modded for a year, had been rear ended, but repaired/repainted well. Maybe I was lucky-nice seller who needed to sell soon and sensed my enthusiasm for the cars? Price and condition is very dependent on location though.

I almost sold mine for $1500 with all my mods left on it. But if you're patient you should be able to find one for 1/3 of that.
Here's what you should expect to pick up for about $1000 or a little more, or least thats all I'd pay...
(yes that is my car)
