I can't love it enough :P

the huge gouge in the driver's side put there by a previous owner and it floods terribly. I'm working on both issues.

My sticky, barely working sunroof. My car still makes me smile everyday when I drive it though.

The fact that it's sitting in the backyard covered by a tarp with a seized, rebuilt engine will about 22,000 miles on it

Let's see.
88 T2
Needs new doors (who the hell puts a 1/2" layer of bondo on doors?)
Sticky Sunroof
Sticky Driverside Window (it stuck half way when me and my dad were trying to go into a auto-car wash, lesson learned, wash by hand)
Sloppy Shifter (Got shifter bushings, hoping it'll fix it)
Leaking Brake Master Cylinder (Got a new one)
Pile of parts, but no time, too cold, and zero space to work on the car.

Last but not least,
ME! Not having my license.

Mine has been so mechanically solid since rebuilding everything and paying attention to every detail. No leaks, quirks or anything.

Now i just hate that i cant dial more than about 2.25 deg of neg camber in the front even with the coilovers. Yay for the archaic front suspension.

That and the brakes leave something to be desired. They arent quite enough for good solid road course braking.

With the single-pot brakes, old lines, and street pads, sure; but with four-pots, new lines, and high-performance pads? I can't imagine they'd be all that bad unless you've got massive tires.

944 turbo/911 turbo brakes are a cheap and HUGE upgrade. All you need to do is redrill the rotors, get a proportioning valve to adjust the proportining, etc.

The rotors are small enough that 16" wheels still fit, but are nearly 1.5" thick and have a ton of thermal mass and cooling abillity.

I've owned 6 TII's so far and the stock alarm has worked in 5 of them, the 6th had an aftermarket alarm and the stock one was disabled.

My Current Setup:
Newer 4-pot calipers.
Braided Stainless steel lines. (BTW these have NEVER been a problem, i love them)
ATE blue fluid. (or RBF600)
New MC.
New front hardlines.
Newer rear calipers.
Full cooling duct setup.
Sloted Cryo treated brembo rotors all around.
Titanium shims in the front.
Carbotech XP-10 pads in front
Carbotech Panther Plus pads in back.

I run 225/50-16 RA1s on the track.

This setup was decent for a while but overheated sometimes. The front pads an rotors are still relatively small for a 2850lb car, and when i started going really hard i could overheat them. I never have a problem with the rears, but i can destroy front pads pretty quickly.

I am going to first try switching to a high quality two piece rotor in the front, with a good fin profile for better vented airflow through the inside of the rotor. Plus i am not going to run carbotech pads again. I was not impressed with how they handle overheating. And if you dont bed them in JUST right they are junk from that point forward. I have heard great things about cobalt blue and hawk HT-10s. I am going to try those.
