Window regulator

Hey guys can u help me please I got a new motor and regulator for my driver side window I put it connected the wires but it doesn't move so the I ran a wire from the battery and tested the motor out to see if that's the problem but it works when I do that does anyone hav an idea of what can be the problem I thought it might be the switch but the passenger side works fine thank guys

Why is this in the non-technical section?

Anyway, just because the passenger side switch works ok doesn't mean the drivers side is ok. Take the ds switch apart being careful to note what goes where (hint, pull it apart top side up), take it apart, clean the contacts, put it back together, and I'll bet when you plug it in the ds window will do what it's supposed to do.

One more thing, right in the middle of the grey bar at the top of the pace is a link to this sites search function. There is a wealth of information on the other side of that search function where just about every question you can imagin has already been asked and answered....... 10+ times.
