Why?
I drove my GXL in the snow a few times and it was okay for a light RDW sports car but there is a major difference taking the 7 out in a light snow and relying on it as a daily driver in the winter. I'm a pretty rural areas where it can take two days to get the local roads plowed and there's no way the 7 is getting through 18" of snow - that's what a truck is for.
Haha, what a joke from the guy from San Jose. Obvious reasons already stated. Why would I drive a mint turbo RX-7 in the winter when I have an AWD Audi with a galvanized body.
^^ how much snow u get in texas? up here in toronto we get quite alot, about 20-30 centimeters. thats about 10 inches depending how bad it is. im planning to get a turbo2 for a first car but winters are bad in canada and i dont know how its going to work out with a rx7 lol.

Once again... FC. not Ferrari.
I drove a vert last winter. I will not let a rust free car(my turbo II) touch salt. That vert, was too far gone underneath to be worth fixing.
used tires, open diff. Just gotta know how to drive, and the limitations. If I could get moving, nothing could stop me. rwd is awesome when you loose the front end in an intersection, you just steer with throttle
Great Chicago snowstorm last winter? I was there, blasting through that **** before it got too deep lol. and the next day it looked like this...

and to the above post about ice on the inside, the vert was a ******* nightmare during the coldest part of winter. Locks froze. Door handles froze and broke. Windows froze. carpets got wet(window seals) and froze. That car was a ******* moving ice block for about a month.
I'm doing it again this winter, but this time it will be in a 240sx lol.

I have great memories of top down, windows up, heater maxed during snow storms. Get moving on the highway and it all blows right over top of you. Got the same crazy looks lol.
