Whats the point of detachable stearing wheels?

Is it just so that nobody steals your car?

and also just curious, is it rice to put strobe lights behind the FTP lenses? I think it is but my buddy wants to wire his set into to my car and i wasn't sure if i should let him.

If you're drifting...go for it (strobes that is). Then again, if you were really into drifting you would already know this, so no. Don't let him put them on.

Mainly helpful for getting in and out of your bucket seat. Its not gonna stop someone from stealing your car.

Strobes are cool and fun...on the track...

get a custom tailored bag to hold your steering wheel in, then put the strobes on the outside of the bag.

I got one with a keyed lock that goes on the hub after you take the wheel off, just throw the wheel INSIDE the backpack and im off. Strobes are cool if done right

quick release steering wheels are created to give people more room to climb out of their caged cars. if you have a quick release and no cage then you are a lame wannabe. if you drive a sanctioned legal caged car on the street then you are hard core but really should look into getting a real DD. if you put strobes on your car then you are stuck in the late 90's when it was cool.

get a nice wheel and mount it properly. tell your friend to throw his strobes out.

QR steering wheels to help in antitheft...specially when you lock the wheel with some tension on it then pop off the steering wheel...a lock over the hub also helps.

I personally dig strobes on FTPS...I'd do it just to say I did LOL

carrying a steering wheel is like walking around in your armadillo armor (GAY) unless.... like me, you dont have anywhere to put it so I started stuffing it in the rear bins LOL

It´s not important if we call it rice or not. There is not scientific way to measures riceness, it´s a matter of opinion. I were driving a safety or pace car, i´d have them. I also agree it´s kinda cool on drift cars. I´m not into hard parking and styling cars, but it might be good for that too?

Strobes are only cool on full out drift cars. Stock body cars with strobes =

On topic, most detachable hubs are alot smaller than most hubs, so they go good with deep dish wheels. But are completely unnecessary unless you have a full cage and have a hard time getting in the car. Or if you have some badass wheel, like a classic Key's Racing wheel that you want to keep on you to make sure no one steals it from you.

There have been a couple times when cruising through our mtn passes where someone in front of me will be going so slow and won't let us pass. So I'll set off my car alarm to make em think I'm pulling them over, then pass them. Yes I know, if I got caught I could get charged with a felony "impersonating an emergency vehicle" charge. But is so worth it to haul *** through the mountains, haha.

Im gonna say some people here are very close minded about "tuner" themed mods. I love mine.

Quick release can be a theft deterrent, they have to do their homework on your car , should stop random thieves looking for a quick getaway.

It is also nice when you eat in your car, or like I used to do= sleep in my car during lunch breaks at work. This also benefits when you wanna get freaky in your car lol

Having buddies with the same quick release, allows you to try out their steering wheels to see if you like it.

Dont trust a generic ebay brand. A friend bought one for his cheap build up and its a paint to get on and off. Id say NRG is good stuff. I got a NRG slim. 3 years now rocking strong.
