What should the next project be for my fc?
I'm not to sure what to do next to my car. I was thinking about buying headers, but idk if it will be to loud since im already running a straight pipe to my stock headers. Then I was thinking about buying parts to run a turbo, but i figured my n/a is running fantastic, why would i want to mess that up.
What are some ideas that you did to your rx7 that you liked?

Too old for this
^ That's pretty nitpicky. Since there are 2 pipes from the ports, I would consider that plural headers.
I got the corksport headers that bolt up to the stock cat and while it did get a little louder, it isn't ridiculous. I also have some type of catback, HKS I think. Of course the cat quiets it down a lot.
If you haven't done any suspension work, I would suggest that.

Racing Beat springs [20% increase, 1" drop] great for a daily driver [I haven't bottomed out even once with these!], newer struts, header[s], strut tower bar, wheels you like, tires [if you get cheap ones go for the siping.. It really really helps], factory spoiler [with the Mazda logo on the bottom side!]...

front and rear sway bars
modded intake
17' wheels
some kind of lowering springs

what do you want to do with the car?
as with any use of the car an upgrade radiator and deep cleaning of the car will be nice. i mean clean everything and replace anything bad/broken. new paint job also might be fun and keep you busy for a while. i'm waiting for warm weather to start body work on my car.

Buddy club and tien flex coil overs
Deffidently do a full suspension tune up new bushing all over even if they look good replace them
If your tight on money go for a strut spring combo their good for the cost
Just make your car look clean or go the jdm modded look
Clean look ( stock body, springs/ coil over , sway bars, reupholster, rims, and a good buff n wax )
Jdm ( kit it, paint, suspension, stiffening mods, rims, redo the int, ect sky is the limits )
Just which direction do you want to go????
Jdm or clean???
Pick a category and go from ther
Ther is an unlimited amount of stuff you can do to a car
So give us a direction to lead you in
Best of luck phil

I am running silkroad rm/a8 for 5years now, i am soooo glad i did not chose the Tein..
The reason i chose this:
There was a discussion on how Tein was the better choice and it was easy to find a service station for rebuilding them
A guy who was running the silkroads for quite some time said: if it needs to be rebuild, then its just not good enough.. he was soo true!
I know several guys with Tein who had leaking dampers. Mine are still perfect, and no rust..
More value for money, they cost less and come standard with pillowball and front camber plates

Streetglow... It's awesome! Like a G6. Oh yeah, and those chrome fake vents on your fenders, or have you already installed those upgrade parts?
On a more serious note:
All shocks wear, and need to be serviced regularly to keep them operating in 100% condition. This might not be neccecairy for someone who cruises along in the weekend without asking everything their suspension has to give, but it doesn't make that statement true. I for on doubt you have ever had your shocks dynoed, so how do you know they are not in need of a rebuild?

i dont drive my car much, but when i do, i dont drive like a *****
the suspension reacts like it did 5 years ago, so i dont need a test.
it needs a rebuild if it is leaking or when it starts to feel like you are on a boat
most of the people i know that had leaking Teins dont even take it out to the track..

Well it is currently my daily driver but I do want to get ready for some autocross as well. So to answer the question, what i want to do with it? I want to be able to drift, race, and be able to drive it around town.
and i want to keep it clean. So i guess i should start looking into coil overs

i take my car on the street, the track, the strip, burnouts, donuts and it takes it all.

You need a test when they are new. Good shocks come in matched pairs (or quartets) with dyno sheets. For instance 4 clicks FR doesn't equal 4 clicks FL. Not on 10k Euros custom ProFlex sets, and most certainly not on the entry level kits we're discussing here. I have seen dyno results of new K-Sport coil-overs (which is pretty much lowest entry possible) where one shock on stiffest bump/rebound setting was still softer then the other on it's softest setting.
Now, I'm not cheering for Tein in case you think that. I think they are a decent company which turned into a fashion brand. People asking for more products for lower prices has resulted in a line-up where considering any set lower spec than the Mono-Flex's is a bad idea, because even the Mono-Flex have competitors with better quality. For the FC I wouldn't go for a entry ;evel coil-over set lower then the Cusco Zero-2. With the Zero-2R (although now discontinued I believe) being the better choice. It's what I would get fitting my minimal budget.

get 15" or 16" wheels it will be easier to break the wheels loose with smaller wheels on an n/a but 17" isn't bad for now. Get some nice coilovers and don't get a body kit, maybe just a lip. Also don't bother with turbo parts, when you are ready for a turbo do a t2 swap. As for drifting. Seat time seat time seat time. You can have the perfect drift car but with out practice it won't show. Don't lower your car to much as with street use you'll bottom out everywhere. My car is 4 1/2 inch. Of the ground and I bottom out once in a while. Last piece of advice dip dish steering wheel, I've managed to turn on my wipers during a touge run by my self

Get some gauges to show you how good your car is running.....
..........
I hate the fact that My car can get a header "just like that" and I have to spend 60 bucks on drinks before My GF is even in the Mood to give Me one!

My opinion of the best things you can do to a FC, in order of importance.
1) Limited Slip Differential
2) Quality Sticky Tires
3) Coilovers and (Front and Rear Strut Bars)
4) Shedding weight
5) Bolt on mods; Exhaust, intake, headers, etc.
Also, I have the TEIN Flex's and have been running them for 4 years now, off and on track. Great coilovers, with absolutely no issues. I'd recommend; TEIN Flex, Silk Roads or Stance GR for your basic entry price of coilovers.

Suspension then wheels/tires (or just stick with your wheels and get better tires :P)
then save up for a 13bt swap? on an N/A FC I would rather put my money into the suspension than the power.
Oh and just to throw it out their - I have Stance GR+ coilovers and love em.
