would be stupid to have him make some strut bars that you can easily buy for a hundred lol.
some people can appreciate a one of a kind custom piece, not some made in china junk. Normally you would not purchase these things but in a barter situation you almost feel like you did not spend the money.

First if you knew what it costs to conduct business around here, our taxes aint cheap, some of the most expensive utility rates in the country as well. I have to average $45 a hour for every single hour of every single day to break even at the end of the year.

Regardless once you have already made one and have the jig you can then sell them cheaper, you are not cutting and fitting and testing, you already did the hard work.
I figure a good shop will want $100 a hour, figure in materials and you think someone can whip up a CAGE in 4 hours? Even 5 hours?

So now are you talking a CAGE or a ROLLBAR? I think a rollbar is a little more realistic at $500, which I would not have installed in a 10th AE, I know its not a super rare collectible but I just think he should have the guy make him a nice piece that he would normally not spend the money on that keeps the car more original

just to get an idea.. They can be made, metal yards usually have the rods and joints with the weld on sleeve or whatevers.

or like some under car chassis braces
damn dude that **** is hardcore
If i was tracking the thing it would make more sense
so far i think vmount/fmic is most sufficient.

He also resurfaces/fills rims... too bad i sold my 5zigens

Well Rob sorry to hear that utilities are so high & yes I meant roll bar, I would guess most of us would understand when I said 4 point. "cage" is just a description. The fact that it's 10th anni has really little to no meaning since he was already going to modify it from the get go. If he was going to keep it stock then yes. You suggested a strut bar which a nice one can be easily attained for around $150-200 & even cheaper if getting Ebay ****. IMO a ROLLBAR would be the better deal. Remember this is a barter so the idea is to get close to equal value. The above suspension pieces would be nice to have.

Being so uber JDM Hypertek you should know quality pieces are a little more than a bill. Maybe something the Auto Exe "X" brace would be a good idea too.

Well i just meant that the OP has this opportunity, he could take advantage of getting something made thats not too common. theres alot of potential parts for our cars that are not made or easily obtainable.

really thinkin about picking up a front mount and getting him to do the piping. anyone know if this'll fit?

3 inch inlet/outlet, about 30.5 inches wide, 13 inches tall

I would say Vmount but that would require me buying an NA hood for him to mod (which would probably be worth it huh? lol)

I vote for a bunch of chassis bracing along the bottom of the car and along the transmission tunnel / driveshaft. That includes a very thick lower bar bar for the front control arms. Hypertek was onto something with this idea.

Do you drift? You do now.

Have him mod your knuckles in addition to the FMIC.

Everyone likes more turning angle.
