The unit is an Avic D3.
Is it a unit that comes with newer Mazdas?

No, it's an aftermarket unit made by Pioneer. A lot of people think i got it from a newer mazda and swapped it into my car, haha.

part of it is that awesome picture/camera, so clear and bright. I have to try my nikon d80 and attempt to get a picture like that instead of the old *** sony point and shoot I use

Sharp looking interior! I'm beginning to see that stock looks great, it just basically has to be flawless and super clean. Once i get my car on the road, i'll have to detail the interior and then post it up here to get some feedback.

the gauges looking brighter is a camera effect to take in more like, that's why the navigation screen looks all bright cause it took in a lot of light there.

like Rob XX 7 said, the camera helps, but the interior still looks really clean in person. the camera mainly helps in taking pictures where there's less light.

im thinking you could revamp the guages on the dash with new bulbs. i know a lot of poeple on other cars just buy new LED's for the back of the guages and get them in different colors etc etc. im not sure if the back of these guage clusters are a film or colored LED's but my guess is colored film so its a lot harder to change the color. but im sure if you just get new bulbs/LED's for the back they could look brighter as well.

turbo- i did not mean to downplay your clean interior, its hard getting night photos and your photos are awesome.

even with a crappy pic you can see that is a great interior

I think the factory interiors look good enough stock (except burgundy and blue)

Just put in New aftermarket seats, LED amber bulbs in the cluster and clean the **** out of the carpets

Keep it simple and clean bro the beauty of having an FC is the forever old skool look. Just a pair of bride seats (other brands are fine too your choice of course) and a nice break away steering wheel maybe even the kind that lift up like in the JGTC

Are those knockoffs or MS seats from a different car? Your interior is way too nice for knockoffs.
